As the Ghana Learning Radio Programme officially begins today, Monday, June 15, on stations of the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) across the country, listeners have been encouraged to tune in and take full advantage of the initiative.

The programme, being rolled out by the Ghana Education Service in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, is aimed at supporting teaching and learning through radio. To make access easier for students, parents and teachers, Georgewb.org has compiled a comprehensive list of all GBC radio stations nationwide that will be airing the lessons.

The list is intended to guide households to easily locate their nearest GBC station and ensure learners do not miss scheduled educational broadcasts.

The Education Service has announced that Ghana Learning Radio Reading Programme” will be aired nationwide on the GBC radio station for the benefit of students, particularly in the remote areas.

The programme which is expected to cover pupils in Basic 1 to Basic 3 includes storytelling, games, and other interesting activities to help children improve their reading, writing, and imaginative skills.

The Service as the Ghana learning radio program begins today entreats parents and guardians to print and take note of the timetable in other to ensure their wards get prepared.

Additionally, parents are to get a notebook, pen, or pencil to help their wards in writing, adding that they must support and guide them during their lesson periods by ensuring their ward sits through the specified time.

The Ghana Education Service has begun airing its Learning Radio Programme on selected Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) stations nationwide.
