On December 3rd, 1994, in Atlanta, Georgia, Jones or Lil Baby was born. When Dominique was only two years old, his negligent father tragically abandoned him and his mother. To raise the little child and his two siblings, his mother was forced to take on any task.
Jones attended Booker T. Washington High School to further his studies, but he was unable to do so for very long. He left school while he was enrolled in the tenth grade. He committed to drug dealing since he was constantly looking for work and ways to support his family financially.
Career
At the age of seventeen, drug dealer Lil Baby was a frequent visitor to the Atlanta-based Quality Control Records recording facility. Because Baby had “the swag… the lingo, [and] respect around the city,” label founder Kevin “Coach K” Lee urged him to pursue rapping. Baby was mentored in the development of his style by fellow rappers Young Thug and Gunna.
In April 2017, he released his debut mixtape, Perfect Timing, which featured Young Thug and Lil Yachty.
Dominique Jones claimed that while serving a few years in prison, he used to write lyrics. He was not interested in wasting time there. So he began to think and created lyrics that, not knowing it at the time, would one day become reality. In addition, he wrote down his emotions as a result of the prison era.
The rapper became even more well-known after the release of his next well-liked mix tape, which spread not just around Georgia but the entire country. ‘Harder than Hard’ was the title of his following album. The psychological suffering he had to through in the previous years served as the inspiration for the lyrics on this album. Excellent musical and rhythmic fusion made the lyrics more memorable.
