Will Ferrell is an American actor, comedian, writer and producer who made his name during the mid-1990s while appearing on the NBC sketch comedy program Saturday Night Live from 1995 to 2002.

Ferrell Early Life
On July 16, 1967, in Irvine, California, Ferrell was born. His parents were Roy Lee Ferrell Jr., a saxophonist and keyboard player for the Righteous Brothers, and Betty Kay, a teacher who worked at Old Mill School Elementary School and Santa Ana College.
Ferrell first attended Culverdale Elementary in Irvine before moving on to Rancho San Joaquin Middle School. He played kicker for the varsity football squad at University High School in Irvine. In 1990, he earned a B.A. in sports information from the University of Southern California, where he studied sports broadcasting.
Ferrell relocated to Los Angeles in 1991 after his mother urged him to pursue his interests. He was accepted into the comic troupe The Groundlings after a successful audition, and there he spent time honing his improvisational abilities.
Career
Ferrell worked for seven years on Saturday Night Live, starting in 1995 and ending in 2002. He has served as the show’s host five times, making him a member of the Five Timers Club.
Ferrell appeared in a number of films while he was a cast member of Saturday Night Live. Frank “The Tank” Richard was his first leading role after leaving Saturday Night Live in 2003’s Old School.
Ferrell has performed as a voice actor in a number of animated television shows and motion pictures, notably his performance as Bob Oblong in the ill-fated animated television series The Oblongs, a 1950s-style father with no arms or legs.
Ferrell made his Broadway debut in the one-man play You’re Welcome America, when he played outgoing US President George W. Bush. One Last Evening with George W. Bush.
Ferrell was introduced at the intermission of a Minor League Baseball game on May 6, 2010, at Dell Diamond in Round Rock, Texas, as Billy Ray “RoJo” Johnson, a Venezuelan pitcher for the Round Rock Express.
As a promotion for a Funny or Die charity special, Ferrell participated in five games of Major League Baseball spring training on March 12, 2015, for ten different Cactus League clubs.
