The Admission Cut-Off Points For Colleges Of Education 2022/2023 Academic Year In Ghana helps individuals in the country to know their stands and be self prepared before applying for any College Of Education.

Not long ago, the Admission for Colleges Of Education for 2022/2023 academic year was released, of which interesting students can apply and join the next batch of trained teachers in Ghana.

Colleges of Education Admission portal is opening soon for all the students that are interested to enroll at the Colleges of Education in Ghana, West Africa.

To have a fair appreciation of of your chances at being admitted for a particular course, one must have a fair idea of previous Cut off Points to serve as a guide in the selection of courses for the 2022/2023 academic year.

Note: These are Tentative Cut-Off Points and May vary depending on the level of competition for admission each year. When competition for admission is keener, the Cut-Off Points may vary depending on the number of students intake for a particular course or institution.

WASSCE /SSSCE /TVET Qualification For Applicants

The general Cut off point for admission to the Diploma in Basic Education (DBE) and Bachelor of Education programme are as follows:

WASSCE Holders: Credit Passes (A1-C6) in five (5) subjects comprising three (3) core subjects, including English Language and Core Mathematics, and two elective subjects relevant to the programme of choice.

SSSCE Holders: Credits (A-D) in five (5) subjects comprising three (3) core subjects, including English Language and Core Mathematics, and two (2) elective subjects relevant to the Programme of choice.

TVET HOLDERS: Applicants must have credits in five (5) subjects comprising three (3) core subjects, which must include English Language and Mathematics, and two (2) elective subjects relevant to ones programme of choice.

  • Candidates awaiting results for September/October, 2022 WASSCE can also apply.

Cut Off Points For Teacher Training Colleges In Ghana

This section shall contain everything you will need to know about the cut off points for teacher training colleges in Ghana for the 2022/2023 academic year.

The Cut Off Point for Teacher Training Colleges in Ghana 2022 is aggregate 30. Applicants are to have credit passes (A1-C6) in three core subjects including Core mathematics and English. Credit passes in two elective subjects (A1-C6) would also be considered in calculating the cut off points.

So in effect, three core subjects and two elective subjects would be used to calculate Cut off points 2022 for various Colleges of Education which is aggregate 30.

Admission Requirements For All Colleges Of Education In Ghana

WASSCE /SSSCE Qualification Applicants

The general requirement for admission to the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) Programme is given below:

  • WASSCE /SSSCE Qualification Applicants. The general requirement for admission to the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) Programme is as follows:
  • WASSCE Holders: CREDIT PASSES (A1-C6) in Six (6)subjects comprising Three (3) Core subjects, including English Language and Core Mathematics, and Three (3) Elective subjects relevant to the course of study.
  • SSSCE Holders: PASSES (A-D) in Six (6) subjects comprising Three (3) Core subjects, including English Language and Core Mathematics, and Three (3) Elective subjects relevant to the course of study
  • Candidates awaiting the MAY/JUNE, 2020 WASSCE and NABPTEX RESULTS can also apply

General Certificate Of Education (GCE) Advance Level Applicants

Applicants must:

  1. have passes in three (3) subjects (at least, one of the passes should be Grade
    D or better).
  2. have credit passes (Grade 6) in five GCE Ordinary Level subjects including
    English Language, Mathematics, and a Science subject (for non-science
    students) and an Arts subjects (for Science students)

Advanced Business Certificate Examination (ABCE) Applicants

Applicants must:

  1. have passes in three (3) subjects (at least, one of the passes should be Grade D or better).
  2. have credit passes in five (5) subjects including English Language, Mathematics, Integrated Science or Social Studies in the General Business Certificate Examination (GBCE).

Technical and Vocational Education and Training Applicants

A

Applicants must:

  • Possess Certificate II in three (3) relevant trade areas awarded by TEU, NVTI, City & Guilds and other authorised awarding bodies in addition to NABPTEX Certificate II in lieu of passes in English and Mathematics.
  • Have NABPTEX Certificate II in relevant trade areas in addition to three (3) credit passes in WASSCE/SSSCE core subjects including English and Mathematics.

B

Posses a National Certificate II qualification in Competency Based Training (CBT) in a relevant trade area awarded by TEU on the National TVET Qualification Framework (NTVETQF).

should have Passes (A-D) in Two(2)
CORE subjects including English Language and Social Studies and Three (3) relevant elective subjects.
HEARING IMPAIREDStudy facilities are available atPresbyterian College of Education, AKROPONG.i. Applicants with WASSCE results
should have Credit (A1-C6) in Three
(3) CORE subjects including English Language and Mathematics and Three (3) relevant Elective subjects.
ii. Applicants with WASSCE results
should have Passes (A-D) in Three
(3) CORE subjects including English Language and Mathematics and Three (3) relevant Elective subjects.
