Sadie Sink’s Early Life
On April 16, 2002, Sadie Elizabeth Sink was born in Brenham, Texas, to math teacher Lori Elizabeth Sink and football coach Casey Adam Sink. She has a younger sister and three elder brothers.
She was interested in the performing arts despite her family’s passion for sports. At age seven, she made her community theater debut in Brenham’s The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. Later, she was chosen after a successful audition for the main position in a nearby production of The Secret Garden.
She made the decision to pursue acting professionally after having this experience. Due to New Jersey’s close proximity to New York City, her family relocated there to assist her acting career when she was a teenager.
Career
During the 2011–2012 season, Sink appeared in plays at Theater Under the Stars in Houston, including musical renditions of White Christmas (2011) and Annie (2012), in which she played the lead character. She made her television debut in a 2013 episode of the Emmy Award-winning series The Americans during the Broadway run.
In 2018, she worked with Rooney Mara, Sia, Joaquin Phoenix, and Kat von D to narrate the Australian documentary film Dominion on animal rights. during the age of 15, she made her modeling debut by walking the runway during Paris Fashion Week.
Sink made a name for herself as Max Mayfield in the science fiction Netflix series Stranger Things. Additionally well-regarded was Sink’s portrayal in the fourth season of Stranger Things, particularly in the episode “Dear Billy”.
