Delta Goodrem is a musician, composer, actress, performer, and philanthropist. She was born and reared in Sydney, New South Wales, and began taking piano, acting, singing, and dancing lessons at a young age. Goodrem signed a record deal with Sony Music Australia at the age of 15.

Goodrem’s Early Life and Career
Goodrem was born on November 9th, 1984 in Sydney to parents Lea (née Parker) and Denis Goodrem. Trent is her younger sibling. She attended the Hills Grammar School in nearby Kenthurst while staying in Glenhaven, where she went from kindergarten to year 11.
Alongside fellow Australian Bec Cartwright, Goodrem made an appearance in an American commercial for the Galoob toy company at the age of seven. She also started playing the piano at that age and took acting, singing, and dancing lessons.
In 1993, she had a cameo appearance in the Australian sitcom Hey Dad..! for her part as Cynthia Broadhurst in the episode “The Real Ladies Man.”
Innocent Eyes, Goodrem’s largely self-penned debut album, debuted at number one on the ARIA Album Charts when it was released in Australia on March 24, 2003. By remaining at the top of the charts for 29 straight weeks, Innocent Eyes broke a record previously held by John Farnham’s Whispering Jack and tied Neil Diamond’s Hot August Night (1972) for the second-longest time an album spent at the top of the charts (29 weeks overall). With sales of 1.2 million in Australia and over 4 million globally, it was the best-selling album in Australia in 2003.
At the age of 18, Goodrem received a Hodgkin’s lymphoma diagnosis on July 8, 2003. She had to postpone all of her employment responsibilities while receiving treatment for the illness. Goodrem disclosed that, since 2002, she has experienced a head-to-toe rash, exhaustion, weight loss, night sweats, and a lump on her neck in an exclusive interview with The Australian Women’s Weekly.
She was named the face of Pepsi in Australia in September 2004, featuring on billboards, TV commercials, the drink itself, and a special performance just for contest winners. Delta by Annabella, Goodrem’s own underwear collection, debuted in October.
