Luis Guzmán is a well-known Puerto Rican actor born in Cayey, Puerto Rico on August 28th, 1956. His mother, Rosa, and stepfather, Benjamin Cardona, raised him. He grew up in New York City’s Lower East Side and Greenwich Village neighborhoods.
Guzmán graduated from American University, worked as a social worker, and eventually became interested in street theater and indie films. Guzmán was a student at the Seward Park Educational Campus. He also attended City College of New York before enrolling at American University. Guzmán has an estimated net worth of $13 million.

Guzmán first appeared in Cabot Creamery’s “Naturally Aged Cheddar Hunks” TV commercials in early 2008. In 2010, he appeared in HBO’s How to Make It in America and in a series of amusing Snickers commercials that aired during that year’s Super Bowl. He also appeared in the music video “Yes We Can.”
